She coach 6& Under and 9-10 year old swimmers there and her love of coaching was instilled. In 2009 Leslie began coaching with Irvine Novaquatics in Southern California. She worked with all ages and ability levels from 9-18years and from just joining the team to Olympic Trialists. Her primary age group in her years there was with 9-14 year olds, and she helped many swimmers achieve Junior Olympic and Far Western Time Standards. She also helped manage 2 USA Swimming National Meets, 3 USA Swimming Junior National Meets, 1 Pan Pacific Championship Meet, and 1 US Open Meet.
In 2015 Leslie began coaching with Nu Wave Swim Club in New Orleans Louisiana developing 9-14 year old swimmers and serving as a site coordinator. Leslie began to miss the more competitive nature of big club swimming and took the Head Age Group Coach position at NCAP West in September 2016. She has been with the Bronze 1 program there for the last 2 years working with 11-14 year old swimmers and assisting with Gold 1 (15-18 year old swimmers). Leslie has made the ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year Top 50 coaches in the nation for the past 2 years. She has also developed many Junior Olympic and Sectional level athletes at NCAP West as well as PVS record breakers, and she most recently had a swimmer compete on a National Age Group Record setting relay at Age Group Champs.
Leslie completed her yoga instructor training in 2014 at Purple Yoga in Long Beach, CA and is currently a certified 200 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (200 HR E-RYT) through Yoga Alliance. She uses Yoga practices to help swimmers develop better stabilizer muscles in joints through yoga poses, build lung capacity through yogic breathing exercises, and develop mental toughness through meditation techniques. Leslie will be starting her Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy this September at Maryland University of Integrative Health.
