Our Stroke School is devoted to competitive stroke instruction with an emphasis on balance in the water through specialized drills. The program is for swimmer under 14 looking for a supplement for summer league.

Our Swim School has been serving the DC area for over 30 years. We have a wide variety of learn to swim classes for ages 3 - 8 years old at American University.

Tim Kelly
Head Coach - Gold
Tim Kelly has been coaching full time for the past 26 years and first started coaching with the club in 1995 where he coached 3.5 years at the Tyson’s Corner site. After that he spent 8 years of coaching at the collegiate level, at Purdue University and Davidson College. He then returned to NCAP in the spring of 2006 as the Head Coach of the American University site. As a swimmer he was a Sr. National and Division I NCAA qualifier at Southern Illinois University. His wife Abby swam for the club back in 1978 when the club first started and his kids (Jordan and Madison) learned to swim and still swim with the club.
Kyle McDaniel

Silver 1 & Gold
Kyle grew up in the NW area of Houston where he swam and played water polo. In college, he played water polo for the Texas A&M men’s team and earned his degree in Kinesiology. Kyle started coaching in 2008 for a summer league in Katy, TX. After graduating in 2014 Kyle took a job teaching PE at Langham Creek High School where he was also the Head Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo Coach. In addition, he age group coached for West Houston Aquatics Team and Mayde Creek Aquatics. From the Fall of 2019 to the present Kyle has been the lead Silver 1 coach and an assistant coach for the Gold groups.
Andy Rosenthal

Bronze & Silver 2
Andy started his coaching career with NCAP in 2016. He is currently the lead coach of the Bronze 1 and Silver 2 groups at the American University Site. He has also worked with the Bronze 1 and Gold 3 groups at the Holton Arms site and assisted with the Gold groups at AU. Andy swam for NCAP while growing up and went on to swim at Middlebury College. In the summer, he is the head coach of the Rockshire Sharks in the MCSL.
