How to Enroll

AU Swim School Director

Taylor Whittington

Taylor has been with NCAP’s Swim School since 2018. She started as a swim instructor while studying at American University and was promoted to Deck Manager and Private Lessons Coordinator before taking over as the Director in May of 2021. Taylor also serves as NCAP’s Digital Content Manager.

Taylor grew up swimming on school, club and summer league teams and playing waterpolo in her hometown of Princeton, New Jersey. She was inspired by her mom’s passion for water safety and competitive swim at a young age. Taylor enjoys providing her swimmers a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment in which to grow their skills. She loves to create personal connections with our Swim School families and make each child feel valued when they come to the pool. She is proud that several of the swimmers she taught in Minnows classes in her early years at NCAP are now competing with NCAP’s swim team.

Taylor graduated from American University in 2021 with degrees in Film and Gender Studies. Her favorite places to swim are the Chesapeake Bay and the Jersey Shore. She enjoys volunteering at her local animal shelter, visiting National Parks, rock climbing with friends, and watching movies with her cat, Toast.
